Kate Coughlin has been exploring the concept of a “bonus life” – a term she created to describe a time where we can shift our perspective on our lives to one guided by purpose and meaning. It is a “bonus” due to the unique times we live in – prodigious resources, longer life expectancy and a world where disruption is the norm. Through coaching, speaking and leading workshops, she invites us to embrace our values and question assumptions in thinking about what is possible in our lives. Kate has been exploring her bonus life in various organizations and by creating numerous experiences. After raising her three sons, she has served in executive positions in a Fortune 100 company, theater, philanthropic foundations, and academia, where she taught in the Executive Education program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (where she previously earned her MBA). Several years ago, Kate embarked on a solo trip throughout Europe in order to deepen her understanding of what can be created at this stage of life. She graduated from the coaching programs at Northwestern University and University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and is a certified business advisor.
